He is challenged to a duel by another dark wizard, Egbert the Egregious, who is the first to defeat the seemingly unbeatable Elder Wand when he slays Emeric in combat. In the 14th century CE, the Elder Wand can be traced to Emeric the Evil, a dark wizard who uses the wand to rule over the South of England. After she marries Hardwin Potter, the Peverell line ends, which makes the Invisibility Cloak the Potters' heirloom. In mid-13th century CE, Iolanthe Peverell is the only surviving member of the family. Youngest brother Ignotus keeps the Invisibility Cloak's existence a secret and resolves to pass it down to the family's heirs. But despite her soul's arrival, she isn't fully resurrected, and the grieving Cadmus takes his own life to be with her. Middle brother Cadmus tries to use the Resurrection Stone to bring back his deceased lover. Eldest brother Antioch is the first to make the unbeatable Elder Wand notorious when he openly flaunts its abilities he's slain by another wizard seeking to claim its power. Sometime later, the brothers go their separate ways and take one Hallow as their own. They create three objects known as the Deathly Hallows: the Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone, and the Invisibility Cloak. In the 13th century CE, Ignotus, Cadmus, and Antioch Peverell are brothers and master wizards experimenting with dark magic.
